El Camino de Santiago

I, like many many others, have wanted to walk the Camino de Santiago since hearing about it via the movie, The Way.  I am Catholic. I am retired. I am facing an empty nest.  Things are changing. I decided that this is the year. I will be walking from St. Jean-Pied-de-Port, France to Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain.

Update:

I walked the Camino Frances beginning August 30 and ending October 6, 2018, when my friend Judy and I walked into Santiago de Compostela. The journal/blog entries beneath this menu are a daily chronical of my thoughts as we walked through Spain.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you gain insight about the trail, my trials, and the meaning of my pilgrimage. I not sure if I will ever be able to top this trip physically, spiritually and mentally.  I am a changed person because of it.

See the next page for a list of our stops along the way.  You can then use the list to follow the blog posts in order.  Someday I’ll figure out how to post them in chronological order…but not today.
